ANNECY

Annecy is one of the most charming towns at the northern tip of Lac Annecy. Its small medieval quarter is laced with canals, flower-covered bridges and arcaded streets.

You will see the the interesting Palais de l'Isle, a 12th-century prison in the middle of the Thiou canal, as well as the Château d'Annecy, set high on a hill above the town.
