BORDEAUX & ARCACHON
Bordeaux's city center is notable for its grand streets and 18th-century mansions. The Grand Théâtre, Place de la Bourse and Esplanade des Quinconces are well worth exploring.
After our Bordeaux visit, we will drive you to the Côte d’Argent, a long stretch of coast very popular for its surfing spots. We will reach the Bassin d'Arcachon, where the straight coastline suddenly forms a vast lagoon. The immense Dune du Pilat is the largest sand dune in Europe. Aside from its fabulous panoramic view, the dune is a magnificent vantage point for watching flocks of migratory birds.
We will take you to see Cap Ferret, with its luxurious villas among the pines and its magnificent beach of Grand-Crohot. The Arcachon area is also famous for its oysters. We will invite you to view oyster cultivation near the village of Gujan-Mestras, and to enjoy oyster tasting.
