FULL DAY EXCURSIONS AVAILABLE FROM PARIS

THE D. DAY LANDING BEACHES

In the early hours of June 6th 1944, Allied forces began landing on the shores of Normandy. We will drive you to the code-named beaches where US troops landed, such as Utah and Omaha, while British and Canadian troops landed at Gold, Juno and Sword. You will also see the American World War II cemeteries.

In addition, we recommend a visit to one of the War Museums, either in Caen or Avranches.

Normandy, which get its name from the Norsemen who sailed up the river Seine in the 9th century, has great treasures to be seen, such as the world-famous Bayeux Tapestry and Lisieux Cathedral. You will delight in the beautiful landscape of Normandy and enjoy its many superb sites, like the two great 11th-century abbey churches built in Caen by William the Conqueror.
